Washington Alloy 5356 (commonly referred
to as AIMg5) is a 5% magnesium aluminum
filler metal that is
available for MIG or TIG
welding processes. The
weld deposit of Washington
Alloy 5356 offers much better corrosion resistance
when exposed to salt water. Common applications
would be base metals 5050, 5052,
5083, 5356, 5454 and 5456. The post-anodizing
color tint is white. Tensile strength average is
38,000 psi. 36" Cut lengths are packaged in 1lb.

Washington Alloy 4043 (commonly referred
to as AlSi5) is a 5% silicon aluminum
filler metal that is available in
spools or cut lengths for MIG
or TIG processes. This alloy
is recommended for welding
3003, 3004, 5052, 6061, 6063 and casting alloys
43, 355, 356 and 214. Washington Alloy 4043
has a melting range of 1065-1170oF and a density
of .097 lb./cu. in. The post-anodizing color tint
is gray. Tensile strength average is 29,000 psi.

USA 347 is used for welding AISI types
304, 304L, 321 and 347 where maximum
corrosion resistance is
required. USA 347 contains
columbium which acts as a
stabilizer against carbide
precipitation thereby eliminating intergranular corrosion.

USA 308L is similar to USA 308
but contains an average
.02% carbon producing a
weld deposit with good resistance
corrosion caused by carbide precipitation.
USA 308L is commonly used for welding AISI
types 304L, 308L, 321, and 347. Sold by the
USA 80S-D2 is designed to give high
strength weld son high sulfur bearing
(free-machining) steels or
medium carbon steels. This
wire contains additional
amounts of manganese and
silicon which, when alloyed with 0.50% molybdenum,
produces weld deposits which have high
ductility, excellent impact values and tensile
strengths of approximately 100,000 psi. USA
80S-D2 is commonly used on low carbon and low
alloy steels such as AISI 4130 where tensile
strengths provided by plain carbon steel wires
are inadequate. A well balanced silicon content
gives this wire superior arc stability, a low spatter
level and a flat bead with excellent appearance.

ER70S-2 is multiple de-oxidized Plain Carbon
Steel that has additions of Zirconium,
Titanium, and Aluminum
in addition to the high levels
of Manganese and Silicon
common to plain Carbon
Steels of this group. The ability of this wire to perform
well over oily, dirty, or rusty surfaces is one
of its key features. ER70S-2 has a quick freezing
weld pool with a somewhat tight molten range,
which makes it an ideal choice for welding tubing,
piping, and out-of-position applications. The deposits
have high ductility, excellent impact values
and tensile strength. ER70S-2 is often used on
AISI 4130 tubing where lower tensile strengths
are acceptable or where reinforcing gussets are

Premium copper coated MIG wire, SuperArc L-56 is an excellent choice for welding on metals with a medium to high presence of millscale. For best performance use on clean, oil-free, and rust-free base material. Best weld appearance and toe wetting when compared to ER70S-3 and ER70S-4 classifications. SuperArc L-56 has high silicon and manganese deoxidizer levels. Superior feedability and excellent arc characteristics are trade-marks of SuperArc L-56. SOLAR FLUX WELDING FLUX A back-up flux for use on stainless and chromoly steel that quickly & easily produces x-ray quality welds, without the need of gas purging. Brushing it on back of the joint shields it from oxygen, dissipates heat, cleans the metal, and prevents re-oxidation and heat scale. (Failure to purge or protect the joint back results in porous welds and burn-through) Mix with 100% methyl alcohol (ie 'Heet',etc) for best results. For use with any gas or arc welding method.
