materials.
The Aluminized Heat Barrier
is made up of woven silica
with a flexible aluminized
finish. The highly-reflective
surface of the material is capable of withstanding
radiant temperatures in excess of 2000¦F. This
product can be installed using standard rivets
with a backup washer or weather strip adhesive.
The use of clamps or straps such as Thermo-
Tec's Snap Strap can be used to hold the blanket
in place for manifolds or exhaust systems.

QF180 high temperature white
glue provides a maximum continuous
service rating of 1260
degrees C. Possesses good adhesion,
thermal reflectance, dielectric
strength, hot gas erosion
resistance and effectively resists
wetting by many nonferrous molten
metals. Apply with brush or
spray, covers 13-25 square feet.
Apply to fiberfrax first and also to other surface if
desired. Reduce with clean water. For use with
fibrous materials such as wood (Not recommended
for use on metals).

Noted for having exceptionally
low thermal conductivity
and good handling properties.
Will with stand 2300
degrees F. Its highly uniform
structure assures
equal thermal conductivity
throughout and a smooth surface provides advantages
in seal, gasket and space applications.
24" wide. 1/16" weighs 1oz. p/sqft. 1/8" weighs
1.6 oz p/sqft. Available in 1/16" or 1/8" thickness.
Sold per linear ft.
Single shields are used
where the cable or wire may
pass through the hole.
Ream pilot hole in single piece
shields oversize for the size
grommet used. Two piece shields
are used over cables or wires with large end-fittings
or existing installations. Actual hole size in 2
piece shields is slightly larger than indicated to
prevent chafing cable. Dimple shields accommodate
rubber grommets up to 7/8" outside diameter.
Shields may be installed with screws, bolts,
plate nuts or rivnuts. Install cable and grommet in
firewall, center shield on cable, drill attach holes,
Shields have 5/32" mounting holes. Note: if more
than one cable passes through grommet fire resistant
sealant must be applied to grommet.
Seals are designed to protect sealing ...

This material is a closed cell
vinyl/nitrile insulation foam.
It is excellent for use any
where in the cabin, firewall
or bulkhead. It does not absorb
water or oil and can
also be used for heat insulation. This soundproofing
insulation is also fire retardant and meets
FAR25.853b, making it suitable for aircraft use. It
is black, smooth on the inside, and can be installed
using waterproof contact cement. Simple
to install by cutting with an electric knife, scissor,
or sharp knife. 48" wide roll, sold by the linear
foot. All sizes except 1/8" are certified. Burn test
available upon request.
Composite material of silicone
cured to the surface
and weave of a high temperature
fiberglass substrate,
weighing .72 lb/sq ft
with a total thickness of
.070". Because the silicone
attaches itself to the textile, there is no separation,
and no flow of air or liquids through Koolmat.
It has great resistance to abrasion, radiant heat,
gasses and oils, no matter what temperature.
The silicone side will withstand continuous temps
up to 500ºF; the fiberglass side to 1100ºF. Flexible
and easy to install. Meets requirements of
FAR 23.853(a) for flammability. Kool Mat also is
an excellent sound deadener, reducing noise by
23db. .070 thick x 30" wide, sold by the running
ft.
Use the Cool-It Mat to battle
excessive heat and noise that
penetrate the driver compartment
through the firewalls
and floorboards. It is also
perfect in doors, under hoods, and above transmission
housings. The Cool-It Mat is composed
of resin-bonded silica blanketing insulation sandwiched
between a Mylar facing on one side and a
foil facing on the other. The highly-reflective Mylar
reflects heat away from surfaces, while the foil
side is orientated away from the heat source to
conduct any penetrating heat across its surface
thus providing the ultimate in heat protection. The
silica blanketing is a dual-density composite and
is the main sound insulator. It is easy to trim and
can be applied with the push-in fasteners provided
or any ...

To finish off a clean and well-protected Exhaust Insulating Wrap application it is recommended to use the Hi-Heat Coating. The coating will protect the wrap from abrasion and harmful liquid spills. Extra resins and binders toughen the surface, extend the life of wrap by protecting it from friction, and seal the pores to minimize the penetration of harmful liquids. The coating also works excellent as a paint directy on metal surfaces. The 11 oz. spary coating now comes in three colors - black, aluminum and new copper.
